Personal Bookmarks & Notes — powered by Learning Tools

We’re excited to announce Content Designer 1.5, featuring a new integration with the Learning Tools plugin. With this release, learners can now add personal bookmarks per chapter and write chapter-specific notes directly within Content Designer activities — making their learning journey more organized, personalized, and engaging.

Please note: This integration requires the Learning Tools plugin (free version) to be installed and enabled.

What’s new in Content Designer?

Bookmark key chapters — and find them again in seconds

Learners can now bookmark any chapter in a Content Designer activity with a simple click. A bookmark icon clearly shows the current bookmark status inside each chapter. Bookmarked chapters are automatically collected in the new “My profile > Bookmarks” area, where learners can jump back to the exact scroll position of their saved content.

Learners can use the bookmark overview within Learning Tools to navigate directly to bookmarked chapters in Content Designer activities. In addition, the general bookmarking functionality of Learning Tools remains available, allowing learners to bookmark entire activities and complete courses.

Add personal notes – right where they’re needed

Learning is more meaningful when you can connect ideas to your own thoughts. With Content Designer 1.5, learners can now write personal notes directly in each chapter. A subtle icon indicates how many notes are already attached to the current chapter. Notes can be created, edited, and deleted — all without ever leaving the content.

All notes are neatly organized under “My profile > Notes”, where learners see the related activity and chapter name, along with direct navigation back to the scroll position of the note.
